Elite Medical Transport announced today that it will begin to provide service to Horizon City beginning on Monday, March 1, 2020. The company will provide Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) level service which is the highest level recognized by the Texas Department of State Health Services. The ambulance will be dedicated to Horizon City and will be backed up by nearby ambulances in Socorro and El Paso. Elite Medical Transport was selected by Horizon City after a competitive bid process. Elite Medical Transport will be co-located with El Paso County Emergency Services District No. 1, Horizon Fire, with both agencies responding to the 911 calls.

The service will transport patients according to regional guidelines or to the hospital of their choice.
